Agreement

By downloading or using Vela ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

This agreement is in addition to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

The Service

Vela is an ebook reader for public domain literature with an AI assistant feature. The App is provided by Uju Labs LLC ("we", "us").

Account

Some features require signing in with your Apple ID. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

Subscriptions

• Vela offers auto-renewable subscriptions: Pro ($6.99/month) and Bonfire ($14.99/month).
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

AI Features

The AI assistant provides responses generated by third-party AI models. Responses are for informational and entertainment purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.

Content

Books available through the App are sourced from public domain collections (Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks). We do not claim ownership of these works. You may also import your own EPUB files.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including but not limited to: attempting to reverse-engineer the App, using automated systems to abuse the AI features, or circumventing usage limits.

Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, and branding are owned by Uju Labs LLC. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App or its components.

Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, to the extent permitted by law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time within the App.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
